We are grateful to God for the launch of our 2012/2013 academic year with a record incoming class of students. Our deep gratitude extends to you as an integral part of the educational process here. Mentors play an immeasurable role in helping students connect their classroom learning with the realities of life, faith, and ministry. Thank you for investing your time, wisdom, experience, and listening ear to our students!
In the upcoming months we hope to communicate with you regularly, but briefly, simply to send your way some helpful ideas or resources for your mentoring relationship. This month I hope you will benefit from this video interview with Michael Cusick on the subject of dealing with sexual brokenness in the context of a mentoring relationship. Michael has a highly effective ministry of counseling and spiritual direction, and also mentors Denver Seminary students.

Some of you will be involved this semester in your student’s mentor team meeting here on the seminary campus. This meeting is an important mid-stream debriefing and reflection session for the student and his or her entire mentoring team. If you come to campus for your student’s mentor team meeting, parking is sometimes a challenge. In addition to the main lot in front of the campus, parking is also available on the dirt lot between the seminary and Hudson Gardens, in the lot behind the library, and in the lot on the South side of the administration building. Be sure to check all those locations if you have trouble finding a spot.
May God give you a rich semester of mentoring,
