Dr. Mark Young is a theological educator and pastoral leader with 26 years of global ministry experience in academic programs (both formal and informal), local churches and parachurch organizations. Mark and Priscilla have been married for 28 years; they have three young adult children: Ben, Bonnie and Christian.
Dr. Young's experience includes academic leadership, classroom instruction, curriculum development, vision casting, strategic planning, fundraising (capital and operational funds), board governance, faculty/staff hiring and development, budget planning and oversight, preaching, pastoral care, mentoring, and crisis management.
Mark was professor of World Missions and Intercultural Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary from 1995 to early 2009. He also served as the Pastor of World Missions at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, where he served in a variety of roles for eight years.
Mark has travelled extensively, both domestically and internationally, as a teacher, consultant and missions leader. In 2008, ministry assignments took him to India, Thailand, China, Lebanon, Mozambique, United Kingdom, Albania and Russia.
Before living in Dallas, Mark and Priscilla served with WorldVenture in Eastern Europe for 14 years where they were involved in theological training and local church ministry. Mark was the founding academic dean of Biblical Theological Seminary in Wroclaw, Poland. He continued to serve on the board of the seminary through December, 2008.
Mark has a BA in Speech/Communication from Marshall University, a ThM in New Testament Literature and Exegesis from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Educational Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has written and spoken on issues in theological education for a wide array of international symposia and conferences.
Mark's life passion is to align all that he is and all that he does with the eternal purpose of God -- that all people in all places worship Him alone.
