Debra Kellar

Ms. Debra Kellar (Debbie) was appointed Vice-President of Finance on June 1, 2011. She has also served Denver Seminary as Associate Vice-President of Finance from 2006 to 2011 and Director of Finance from 2000-2006.
Her passion and call is to provide quality services to students, faculty and staff whether through the finance/accounting, auxiliary services/housing, facilities maintenance, security or information technology systems in her areas of responsibility. Supporting students so that they can learn, grow and thrive as they pursue their degree at Denver Seminary is paramount in her mind and heart. Honoring the Lord’s blessings of a beautiful campus and other resources with exemplary stewardship in order to secure the future of our fine institution is equally important to Debbie.
Ms. Kellar earned an MBA from the University of Kansas with emphasis in process reengineering and total quality management in 1996 and a BA in accounting from New Mexico State University in 1990. She is also a Certified Public Accountant. Before coming to the Seminary, Debbie cultivated years of business experience in non-profits, corporations and in public accounting.
Ms. Kellar serves on the board of directors of the Association of Business Administrators of Christian Colleges (ABACC). She is a member of the National Association of Business Officers (NACUBO), the Colorado Society of CPA’s, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the College and University Personnel and HR Assn. (CUPA-HR) and the South Metro Chamber of Commerce.
Debbie is married to Charles Scott Kellar and has two sons, one daughter-in-law and one grandson. She enjoys singing in church choir, hiking and playing with her three dogs, golf, skiing, landscaping and home improvement projects.
