Associate Professor of Youth and Family Studies
Dr. Bradley J. Widstrom joined the faculty of Denver Seminary in 1999 and is an associate professor of youth and family studies, as well as serving as chair of the youth and family studies department. He also directs the Christian studies and outdoor leadership programs and teaches courses in educational ministry.
He received an EdD from the Rutgers University Graduate School of Education, an MRE from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a BA from Trinity College.
Dr. Widstrom is ordained in the Evangelical Free Church of America and has served on the ministerial staff of churches in Illinois and Washington. He has been involved in public school education in New Jersey and Washington teaching language arts, social studies and math. He is the Research Editor for the Journal of Youth Ministry and is on the board of Camp Idrahaje (Bailey, CO). He is also involved in multiple volunteer roles at Columbine High School (Littleton, CO).
Brad has been married to his wife, Sandy, for 37 years. Sandy is a public school educator with her EdD in Leadership for Educational Equity. She regularly teaches a course at the seminary in Education and Justice. They have 2 grown daughters.
