Onias Steve Tapera (MDiv, '00), his wife Winnie and their four children live in Mutare, Zimbabwe, where they have lived their whole lives, except for the four years he spent earning his MDiv here at Denver Seminary. They minister to 450 AIDS orphans in the area.

Tapera also conducts monthly leadership development seminars for pastors and church and community leaders.

Tapera and his family were in Salem, Oregon, recently to share their stories at Solid Rock Community Church. The family spent five years obtaining visas to travel to the U.S., as the governmant of Zimbabwe has restricted travel here. They will spend the summer reporting to supporters and fundraising and plan to return home next month.
