Chaplain Cynthia Brittin (Alumna Associate) of Glendale, Arizona was recently named the 2009 Chaplain of the Year, the highest award given by Marketplace Ministries, a Dallas-based Employee Services Provider. The annual award is given to the chaplain who has gone “above and beyond” the call of duty and exhibited exceptional compassion to others. Brittin has served with Marketplace Chaplains since February 2003. She was nominated for her exceptional service to several Phoenix-area client companies, which employ the unique employee benefit services. “I will use this honor as motivation to continue to serve others in the workplace,” she said during ceremony. Chaplain Brittin graduated from the University of Northern Colorado and attended Denver Theological Seminary.
