Passing of Alumnus Chris Lierheimer

On July 18, 2010 Alumnus Chris Lierheimer went to be with the Lord after his battle with colon cancer. Lierheimer is survived by his beloved wife, Victoria Louise Newkirk Lierheimer; and his devoted children, Christopher, Victoria Faith, Abigail and Rachael.
Lierheimer gained bachelor and master of science degrees from the State University of New York at Albany (1985-6) and later received a certificate in counseling from Denver Seminary (2004). Lierheimer and his wife founded Our House Children’s Learning Center and Evergreen Academy, a private K-8 Christian school, in Evergreen, Colorado.
Canyon Courier reports, “His strong faith in Jesus Christ was an inspiration to others. His heart’s desire was to lead children and others to a saving relationship with Jesus.”
