MA in Leadership with a concentration in Worship

The Master of Arts in Leadership with a Worship concentration is designed for leaders who desire a deeper theological foundation of worship. It gives students a better understanding of how current worship reflects biblical worship and how our current worship may balance cultural sensitivity with biblical accuracy.

All Leadership degrees at Denver Seminary fall under the Division of Christian Ministry. To learn more about this division, watch a video from the Division of Christian Ministry.

The MA in Leadership with a concentration in Worship is excellent preparation for goals such as:
  • Worship pastor/leader contexts within a church or parachurch organization

  • Leadership of worship teams (music, art, etc.)

  • Worship leadership in youth or campus ministry contexts

  • Creation or production of worship services for churches, conferences and other special events

Endorsements for the Worship Concentration

"Worship may be the epicenter of faith, but it has long been neglected in seminary education. Denver Seminary's worship concentration not only puts worship back at the center of Christian practice, but contextualizes that practice in rigorous theological, historical, and cultural investigation."
- Sally Morgenthaler, consultant and author of Worship Evangelism

"I'm so glad Denver Seminary is training worship leaders. Oh, how we need those with a passion for God, a reverence for the holy, a knowledge of their people's need and capacity, and an ability to guide them into adoration, confession, forgiveness, thanksgiving, and Spirit-led response. Lead on!"
- Marshall Shelley, editor in chief of Leadership Journal
