Local Ministry Opportunities
A big part of the training and mentoring process at Denver Seminary includes service in a mentored ministry context to obtain first-hand ministry experience. And there are plenty of ministry contexts from which to choose in the Denver area.
During the last 25 years, the Denver Metro region has experienced a revival in terms of churches and parachurch organizations like Young Life, Youth for Christ, Campus Crusade, the Denver Rescue Mission, Habitat for Humanity, Compassion International, OMF, and many more. Exciting outdoor ministries and culturally diverse inner-city ministries abound. Denver Seminary students currently attend and serve in hundreds of Front Range churches and ministries.
An enormous array of ministry opportunities radiates from Denver Seminary's campus outward, from the mountains to the urban centers, from the ethnically diverse neighborhoods to suburbia. There is an immense variety of demonimations and faith-based charities across the entire Front Range. Colorado Springs alone has more than 100 Christian ministries (www.ibs.org).
Because of our renowned training and mentoring process and its growing team of more than 1000 pastoral, lay and professional mentors, the Seminary is rapidly broadening its partnership with church and parachurch ministries, as well as local businesses, services and cultural organizations, and expanding local ministry opportunities for Denver Seminary students and alumni.
