Cape Town 2010: GlobaLink Remote Site Conference - CANCELED

Conference Details

The Third Lausanne Congress on World Evangelization, also known as Cape Town 2010 and Lausanne III, will be held in Cape Town, South Africa, 16-25 October 2010. The Congress, held in collaboration with the World Evangelical Alliance, will bring together 4,000 leaders from more than 200 countries to confront the critical issues of our time - other world faiths, poverty, HIV/AIDS, persecution, among others - as they relate to the future of the Church and world evangelization. Cape Town 2010 is not just a one-time meeting, but rather is a collaborative Congress that will connect hundreds of locations and thousands of people around the world for what will be, God willing, a catalytic event in the life of the church.

From October 18 to October 20, Denver Seminary will be a public GlobaLink site, where local church and mission leaders can see and hear videos of congress presenters, and be a part of small group discussions. 90 minute sessions will consist of short videos of the congress, each followed by a group discussion. Participants can connect with other local pastors, church leaders and missions representatives. Those planning to attend can start the dialogue now through the online Lausanne Global Conversation and the preparatory articles in Christianity Today.

Each day will feature a specific topic: Truth, Reconciliation, and World Faiths. They will include biblical expositions, plenary addresses, and workshop sessions.

There is no charge for this event. Light refreshments will be provided.
