College Tutors is now accepting applications for qualified tutors to assist high school students with ACT and SAT test prep.

We are looking for positive role models that are reliable, flexible, independent and college educated (or currently enrolled) and enjoy working with high school students. The ideal candidate will have flexibility in his/her schedule to work afternoon/evenings, have reliable transportation and be willing to commute to students' homes and/or local libraries near students' homes and demonstrate excellent communication skills. Additionally, applicants must have scored within the 95th percentile on both exams (or exam taken).

Summary of job responsibilities include providing high quality academic tutoring/coaching in a one-on-one setting, committing to a consistent weekly schedule and developing a mentoring relationship as a positive role model to the students being tutored.

Summary of qualifications include adequate references to demonstrate reliability, responsibility, energy and honesty, working knowledge and expertise as evidenced by a strong GPA and an ACT/SAT score in the 95th percentile, confidence in tutoring all sections of the test (English, Reading, Math, Science, and Writing), be able to explain concepts well and teach study skills and test taking strategies while utilizing the College Tutors curriculum/program materials and demonstrate excellent communication skills with students and parents.
