An Invitation to Pray for the Community

"Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." - 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18
Denver Seminary acknowledges that prayer is one of the most powerful resources that we have as followers of Christ. Prayer gives us time and space to be intentionally in the presence of God, whether to adore Him, be still before Him, confess our sins to Him, offer thanksgiving to Him, or offer requests for ourselves or others.
This blog is created to give us the opportunity to pray for one another: to offer requests for which other people can pray; to praise God for what He is doing or has done; to offer small sacrifices of worship that acknowledge that He is the Creator God who loves us; etc.
There is no specific format to this blog. Prayer requests will be posted as they come in, though it may take up to one business day for new posts to be viewable. If you do make a request, we invite you to come back and comment on your request with answers or truths or whatever else God reveals to you as others pray for you. And if you are praying for someone specifically in this list, we also invite you to comment and let them know, so that they may be encouraged.
This prayer blog is specifically for those in our community. If you would like to pray specifically for Denver Seminary, please join our Prayer Partners.

I would also invite you come to this page to praise God, especially in your times of need.
I chose perhaps an unorthodox path for that today. En route to work I played the new U2 song: Magnificent. The title of the song provides a clue that this is the song of praise to God for this album.
The lyrics were what gripped me today as I was wrestling with some challenges I am facing in my own life. When it is all said and done I too grasped the poet's conclusion: "Justified till we die, you and I will magnify, The Magnificent."
Regardless of what I may experience, ultimately I am justified by the blood of Christ. When I focus on that, all I can do is magnify the Lord--the Magnificent one!
Try the song out for yourself. You too will learn that "only love" (Bono's favorite word for God who is love) can heal you. Psalm 30:2
