Community Support Services, Inc. is an agency providing services and supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are seeking a Host Home Provider, either an individual or couple, for a young man who has autism and exhibits some challenging behaviors. He has deficits in both receptive and expressive languages. The desirable candidate(s) will have previous experience working in the field of developmental disabilities, particularly autism, and with challenging behaviors. Additionally, the Host Home Provider must be highly energetic, physically active, and willing to participate in regular exercise due to the needs of the individual to include bike rides, hiking, and long walks. We will ONLY consider non-smoking households without pets due to the individual's allergies. The Host Home Provider is a contractual position and services are provided in the Provider's home. Host Home Providers must pass criminal, credit and motor vehicle background checks, any person over age 18 residing within the home must also pass a criminal background check. Host Home Providers must obtain renter's/homeowner's insurance, liability insurance, motor vehicle insurance, and register a trade name prior to contracting with our agency. CSSI will provide professional support, technical assistance, nurse consultative services, and free training in the areas of Crisis Prevention Intervention, CPR / First Aid, Medication Administration, Defensive Driving and orientation.
