Description:
Community Support Services, Inc. provides services and supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities living in their own homes. We are looking for compassionate, positive and motivated staff to mentor and assist the people we support with aspects of household cleaning, money management, adaptive and behavioral teaching programs, recreational and socialization opportunities, medical appointments, and medication monitoring. Community Support Specialists must demonstrate effective verbal and written skills and are required to complete programmatic documentation prior to the completion of each shift.
Applicants must pass Criminal Background and Motor Vehicle Record checks, have a valid driver's license, and an insured, reliable vehicle. A High School diploma or GED is required. Must be willing to commute throughout the Denver Metro area, however; many support hours are provided in Aurora. Paid training is provided. Applicant must have flexibility to complete training offered during weekday, daytime hours within one month of hire. Upon eligibility, we offer part-time benefits to those employees scheduled at least 15 hours per week.
