Case Manager Intern at Denver Rescue Mission

The Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens.

This case management opportunity will give you exposure to the typical case load of caseworkers working within a welfare environment. You will assist in answering phone calls; maintaining a call log; screening walk-ins; scheduling and managing monthly assessment meetings, workshops and classes; actively participating in client self-sufficiency plans. You will assist in the follow-up process by reviewing case files; providing referrals; providing prayer and encouragement; recording follow-up details; educating and guiding the family towards self-sufficiency; and attending staff meetings as needed. You will also assist with various administrative tasks including: recording case notes in database; conducting file audits; securing background checks; updating departure log; and updating inventory log.

Full-time interns (40 hours per week) qualify for a $250 monthly stipend paid directly to an education or loan institution, as well as a $150 monthly stipend. In addition to this you also have an opportunity to live at the Crossing and receive free room and board.
