Children's Programming Intern at Denver Rescue Mission

The Denver Rescue Mission is changing lives in the name of Christ by meeting people at their physical and spiritual points of need with the goal of returning them to society as productive, self-sufficient citizens.

You will learn through hands-on experience as you assist the Children’s Coordinator with programming at The Champa House. You will have the opportunity to become acquainted with the children and moms in residence at the house; you will learn first-hand the Champa House program, rules, and house schedule; you will become acquainted with the childcare program and discipline policy. You will assist in the development of educational, age-appropriate programming for children ages 2 and under. You will assist in creating curriculum that helps in developing motor skills, and social skills; you will record this curriculum so that it is easily implemented by program staff and volunteers.

Full-time interns (40 hours per week) qualify for a $250 monthly stipend paid directly to an education or loan institution, as well as a $150 monthly stipend. In addition to this you also have an opportunity to live at the Crossing and receive free room and board.
