Based on the principles of Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), the Living Better Life Skills Training Groups are grounded in developing and supporting the practice of mindfulness as a means for increasing self-awareness and self-esteem.
With mindfulness as a foundation, other skills such as interacting more effectively in relationships, recognizing and managing emotions, and learning to tolerate distressing feelings are then cultivated. Through learning and practicing these skills in the context of a safe and consistent group environment, you will have a powerful resource for breaking the cycle of depression, anxiety, shame, addiction, and other compulsive or addictive behaviors.
