Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido, California is seeking candidates for the position of Pastor of Music and Worship. We are grateful to God for a rich history as a non-denominational, non-charismatic, Bible teaching church in inland, north San Diego County. With the Holy Spirit’s blessing, Emmanuel Faith has grown from a small group of a few families to a weekly attendance of 5,000 with a variety of ministries designed to reach the unchurched and to help believers honor God by living like Jesus. Emmanuel Faith’s ministry values include: a commitment to biblical preaching, multiple evangelistic strategies both at home and abroad, a variety of musical worship styles, strong children’s and student ministries, an elder led form of government, and ongoing church planting both locally and globally. We are firmly committed to a team-based philosophy of ministry with a shared vision based on honoring God by living like Jesus. We believe this involves growing in the Word and prayer, connecting in life sharing small groups, sharing our lives through service and sharing our faith through evangelism. Rev. Dennis Keating is the church’s Senior Pastor. Being committed to these values, we seek the Lord’s leading to hire a music and worship pastor who will lead in our Classic Worship Services and oversee the leadership of the children’s choir, the contemporary services and the modern services. This will involve building a vibrant choir and orchestra, developing biblically sound worship services, creating vocal and instrumental ensembles, overseeing all music related celebration arts and shaping our music ministry in the church and to the community. Candidates for this position must possess several years experience in both pastoral ministry and musical worship leadership, demonstrated vocal and arranging abilities, a committed prayer and devotional life, strong interpersonal and large group communication skills, a passion for God, and an ability to lead effectively by building teams and mobilizing people.
