Come hear Denver Seminary’s new president Dr. Mark Young as he discusses Global Christianity: Trends, Challenges and Opportunities. The center of Christianity has shifted from North America and Europe to Africa and Asia. What are the challenges and threats facing the growth of the worldwide Church today? What are the opportunities for Christians to advance the Kingdom in the midst of overwhelming need across the globe?

Dr. Mark Young joined Denver Seminary as president on July 1, 2009. He is a theological educator and pastoral leader with 26 years of global ministry experience in academic programs, local churches and parachurch organizations.

Mark and his wife Priscilla served with WorldVenture in Eastern Europe for 14 years. Mark was the founding academic dean of Biblical Theological Seminary in Wroclaw, Poland. He continued to serve on the board of the seminary through December, 2008. Mark was professor of World Missions and Intercultural Studies at Dallas Theological Seminary from 1995 to early 2009. He also served as the Pastor of World Missions at Stonebriar Community Church in Frisco, Texas, where he served in a variety of roles for eight years.

Mark has a BA in Speech/Communication from Marshall University, a ThM in New Testament Literature and Exegesis from Dallas Theological Seminary, and a PhD in Educational Studies from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. He has written and spoken on issues in theological education for a wide array of international symposia and conferences.
