Rev. Frank Davis
The Reverend Frank Marvin Davis is a product of the Lone Star State of Texas, USA.
Rev. Davis, his wife, Kathy, and their children, Letitia, Jevon, Sheriee, Francine and Frank, Jr., came to Zion Baptist Church in 1982. He accepted God Almighty’s call to the ministry in June, 1984.
Rev. Davis served as interim pastor and became Zion’s Senior Pastor in July, 1993. As Pastor, he has been faithful in his service to God and to his congregation as a committed shepherd and evangelist. He often states that he is “the happiest pastor in the world.”
Under Rev. Davis’ pastorate, Zion Baptist Church has initiated many new Ministries, including the Grant Writing Ministry, St. Luke 14:21 Day Project to feed the hungry and homeless, the Job Ministry, the Health Education and Service Ministry, Retirees Ministry and many more. The parking lot adjacent to the church along with the parking lot extension, the Beautification of the Sanctuary including new carpet, pews, and pulpit furniture, the restoration of the stained glass windows, the renovation of the Kitchen and basement area, the completion of the Handicap Ramp and new Handicap restrooms, new lighting, new sidewalks, wiring and security are due greatly to the pastoral leadership of Rev. Davis.
Pastor Davis has made the pilgrimage to the Holy Land and in 2001 traveled to South Africa as a missionary, helping to establish some 62 churches in Zion’s name in Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Zambia, Malawi, Johannesburg, and rural areas. In 2009, on a third missionary trip to Zimbabwe Pastor Davis ordained 12 pastors and taught many seminars to pastors, men, women, youth, and couples. 2011 brought a fourth missionary journey, accompanied by a delegation, where a borehole (a well dug by Zion Baptist Church ) was dedicated, the Word was preached and men, women, health and education seminars were held.
Rev. Davis is a fluent speaker with extraordinary vitality. He delivers God’s Word with conviction and power. He is dedicated in his service to God and to man. He is a man of impeccable character who is regarded by his congregation and community as a Christian leader of integrity, honesty, and loyalty. This is evident in the office he held for thirteen years as Treasurer of the Western States Baptist Convention and 2011 newly elected President of the Western States Baptist Convention. Pastor Davis has also served as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., and is the Western Regional Representative to the Foreign Mission of the NBC, USA. Inc.
He is a man of tested ability, sound judgment, and keen perception. Pastor Davis lives by the spirit of Paul, when he spoke, “Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than themselves.”
Pastor Leon Emerson
Apostle Leon M. Emerson is the founding and presiding Pastor of Now Faith Christian Center Church (NFCCC) in Denver, Colorado. A native of Caruthersville, Missouri, he relocated to Denver, Colorado where he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. This anointed Pastor, Prophet, and Teacher attended Wilberforce University and received an Honorary Doctorate of Divinity from the Denver Institute of Urban Studies.
Ordained into the ministry at the age of 24, he and his wife, Co-Pastor Yvonne Emerson, took the charge to start NFCCC in January 1983. Apostle Emerson proclaims that God instructed him to preach faith and hope back into the hearts of the people and does so by shepherding and leading with the love of Jesus Christ. Leon Emerson’s passion for helping hurting people is evident through his ministries which include: Committed to Serve (C.T.S.) Men’s Ministry, Prison Ministry, and a life-changing Youth Ministry.
Through his leadership, NFCCC has developed numerous community programs and outreach ministries designed to meet the economic, social, and spiritual, needs of families. The Rocky Mountain News wrote, “Pastor Emerson’s baritone voice stirs the crowd with God’s truth and charismatic presence making him one of Denver’s best known civic figures, linking the circle of church, neighborhood and politics.” A recipient of several community awards and accolades, Pastor Emerson is sincere about challenging men to assume the responsibility as priest of their homes and to walk in the destiny that God has ordained for their lives.
In addition to pastoring the ever-growing NFCCC congregation, Apostle Emerson travels throughout the country delivering an anointed, life-changing Word of God. He also hosts a weekly radio and television broadcast, “The Excellent Name of Jesus” and is the CEO of Colorado Council for Urban Youth Development, a non-profit organization established to promote the well-being of Colorado youth. He serves as the President of the Board for Colours Television Network which broadcasts to millions nationwide. Pastor Emerson’s commitment to empowering families through higher education, strong economics and employment growth, is evident by his participation in the Greater Metro Denver Ministerial Alliance (GMDMA). After serving two consecutive terms as President of the Greater Metropolitan Denver Ministerial Alliance, which represents over 100 churches in the Metro Denver area, serving numerous local communities, he was elected in 2011 to serve an additional term as President.
