Biblical Studies Endowed Scholarship

The Biblical Studies Endowed Scholarship Fund was established by George and June Kalemkarian, life-long friends of Dr. Craig Blomberg. The Kalemkarians have a desire to see the vision of Dr. Blomberg realized by supporting those who have been called to implement biblical truths. The program allows students the opportunity to delve into the intricacies of God’s Word and how it can be applied today. Old Testament studies introduce students to the languages, literature, ethics and archaeology of the text and its ancient context. New Testament coursework assists students in becoming thoroughly at home in the New Testament in both English and Greek.

As one of the five academic programs, students can pursue either a Master of Arts or a Master of Divinity degree in Biblical Studies. Those who apply for the Biblical Studies Endowed Scholarship Fund must be full-time students, show a need for financial assistance and must be in good academic standing.

Today, Denver Seminary has over 1000 students, to enable more students to attend, gifts to endowed scholarship funds like this one are vital for equipping scholars, theologians and biblical historians who can relay the truths of the Bible to those around the world.
