Dr. Kermit and Shirley Ecklebarger
Kermit and Shirley Ecklebarger have dedicated much of their life’s work to Denver Seminary. In honor of Kermit’s continued commitment to equipping leaders to serve the kingdom of God, and Shirley’s constant support and encouragement of students, a scholarship was established in their honor in 1997. The Kermit and Shirley Ecklebarger Endowed Scholarship Fund continues to have a lasting affect on the lives of students and those they minister to around the world. Each year this fund awards a scholarship to one married Master of Divinity student and one married Master of Arts in Biblical Studies student during their last year of study. Preference will be given to students who have attained a balance of academic achievement and financial need. The student must be full-time and provide one faculty and one pastoral letter of reference. Today, Denver Seminary has over 1000 students who have answered the call to be used for Gods’ service. To enable more students to attend, gifts to endowed scholarship funds like this one are vital for equipping pastors, para-church leaders, theologians, youth pastors, missionaries and lay leaders for a lifetime of ministry.
