Rev. Clifton McGlothan

Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Rev. Clifton McGlothlan and his wife, Josephine, demonstrated a life of servant leadership by planting and leading many rural churches in Wyoming, Nebraska, South Dakota, Kansas and Colorado from 1914 to 1975. As staunch supporters of Denver Seminary, Clifton and Josephine were dedicated to the faithful teaching of God’s Word and applying it to everyday life. Their love for the Gospel is exemplified in the many churches they planted across the American West. Rev. McGlothlan was involved with the establishment of the Conservative Baptist Association in Chicago in 1947 and was the first vice president of the organization in Colorado. The McGlothlan scholarship fund was established by the McGlothlans’ children, Bertha Craft, John McGlothlan, Elena Walsh, Joy Clarke and Mary McGlothlan, who endeavor to continue their parents’ legacy through the lives and ministry of today’s seminary students.

The Rev. Clifton McClothlan Endowed Scholarship Fund was established to honor his life and ministry and his wife Josephine, who served by his side. This fund provides financial assistance to incoming students who are preparing for pastoral ministry. Recipients of the award must be pursuing their Master of Divinity degree and exhibit a need for financial aid.

Today, Denver Seminary has over 1000 students who are dedicated to studying the character of God through His Word. If you would like to give to the Rev.
