Grace Community Church Contact: Pastor Kirk (620) 225-5033, pastorkirk@unitedwireless.com Grace Community Church (GCC), a non-denominational church, Bible believing church, seeks a dynamic Associate Pastor to lead and grow our Youth/Children Ministries. The mission is to guide and develop volunteers and students in fulfilling the purposes of worship, discipleship, service, fellowship, and evangelism; implementing strategies and programs to assist in spiritual formation in these five areas. Title: Associate Pastor of Youth/Children Ministries Supervised by: Senior Pastor and Elder Council Qualifications: • Must have high energy and enthusiasm for ministry, with a passion for youth and an ability to understand the culture and relate with this age group. • Must have vibrant Christian faith and walk, with Biblically-sound doctrinal beliefs (must be in agreement with Church’s Doctrinal Statements). • Must be mission-minded, highly relational in approach, and an effective teacher/communicator. • Must be an equipper, who recruits, trains and develops leadership within the church body. • Must have organizational skills, to maintain order amidst the complexity and detail of various, simultaneous ministry components. • Must be a creative, innovative thinker, team player, teachable spirit, and servant leader. • Must be able to handle confidential matters and material with integrity. • Must work well with parents and families. • Will have freedom to develop a unique ministry to GCC youth/children and outreach to other young people in the community. Responsibilities: • Primary focus: Middle School (Grades 6, 7, & 8) & High School (Grades 9-12). • Planning, conducting, coordinating, and evaluating a comprehensive ministry to 6th-12th grade youth in the church, and to unchurched youth in the community. • Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ, teaching Biblical truth, engaging in pastoral care to those one is responsible for, equipping members to do ministry in the church, and for providing leadership and role-modeling in all areas of the Christian life. • Provide administrative leadership for the Church’s Youth program. • Counseling to the Church’s youth, and where needed to the leadership & members involved in the Youth ministry. • Supporting the ongoing programs and ministries of the Church by involving the youth in these programs and ministries. • Planning and conducting special activities and events designed to meet the social, physical, emotional, mental and spiritual needs of youth. • Planning and conducting special events and activities for reaching unchurched youth for Christ and Church involvement. • Providing administrative leadership for the Church’s Children program in the areas of planning, coordinating, and evaluating. • Be a resource of helps, assistance, and encouragement to the Children’s Ministry & workers. • Is responsible for normal pastoral duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor. • Other duties as assigned by the Senior Pastor.
