Grace Place is a community of love, acceptance, and forgiveness located in Berthoud, Colorado. Lead pastor Clay Peck founded the church in the fall of 1996, targeting the “burned, bored, and bypassed.”
Grace Place is known for a strong gospel focus; educational and relevant Bible teaching; fostering a thinking environment where there is unity around the “main thing” with room to disagree on secondary issues; vibrant worship; a seven-day-a-week ministry; hospitality, including a popular commercial restaurant; genuine friendly culture, an unassuming (not “churchy”) environment; honesty, vulnerability, and authenticity; a high percentage of families with children; solid biblical content for children; creative student ministry; strong men’s and women’s ministry; significant community presence and missions impact; pastoral care and prayer support; adoption and orphan care; serving the poor—especially little ones in need; Thursday night worship option (with meal), afterschool outreach, and recovery ministry.
During the first five years Grace Place met in rented facilities, moving into the current building twelve years ago. The church grew rapidly and steadily in the early years but has plateaued at around 1000 attenders in recent years due to space constraints. Grace Place is currently in a re.IMAGINE relocation campaign preparing to build a new campus on 19 acres positioned strategically on the 287 by-pass, the west entrance of Berthoud and a short drive from Loveland and Longmont.
Grace Place has been a nondenominational church, affirming the Statement of Faith of the National Association of Evangelicals. Grace Place is currently in the process of affiliation with the Evangelical Covenant Church. For more information, check out

Changed People Changing the World

• Keeping the Main Thing the Main Thing
The gospel of grace through the finished work of Jesus is the central message of Scripture. (Romans 1:16-17; Ephesians 2:1-10)

• Giving Our Life Away
Our response to the gospel of grace is to give our time, talent, and treasure; our lives if need be, for Christ and His kingdom purposes. (Matthew 10:38-39; Matthew 16:24-26)
• Bringing Scripture to Life
Biblical study and teaching result in the understanding and life-application of Scripture. (2 Timothy 3:16-17; Hebrews 4:12)
• Church is Community
The local church is a community of people who connect relationally and serve compassionately. (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Corinthians 12:13-27)

• Christ Dependent in all Things
We are totally dependent upon Jesus through prayer and the power of the Holy Spirit for every aspect of life and ministry. (John 15:5; Philippians 4:13)

• Freedom in Christ
We are committed to helping each other find freedom from and victory over all that keeps us from the abundant life promised by Jesus. (John 10:9-10; John 8:31-36)
• Leading Matters
We are responsible for equipping and encouraging men and women in the work of ministry. (Romans 12:6-8; Ephesians 4:11-13)

• God Deserves our Best
We honor God and inspire others when we seek to do the best we can. (Colossians 3:17, 23-24; 1 Corinthians 10:31)
