Summary:
The Student Ministries Intern will learn by assisting the Student Ministries department with oversight and execution of all areas of Student Ministries at Harvest Bible Chapel-Davenport and West Davenport.
Major Learning Objectives:
• Learn the overall operation of Student Ministries
• Learn to identify, develop, and utilize volunteer leaders both for service and spiritual leadership
• Learn to plan and execute mid-week and weekend ministry
• Learn to develop student discipleship by using existing small group models
• Learn how to plan and facilitate ministry specific discipleship classes and meetings
• Learn how to develop a Biblical philosophy of preaching and teaching.
Specific Practicums Include:
• Attend Wednesday night ministries and Student Ministries events (socials, camps and retreats) to observe, support, facilitate and lead where needed
• Attend ministry and staff meetings
• Complete follow-up communication with new and/or absent students
• Build and develop leadership teams under the direction of ministry staff
• Support the Pastors, as needed, in the fulfillment of their ministry responsibilities
