Minister of Discipleship and Service I. Ad Copy Heights Cumberland Presbyterian Church is currently searching for a Minister of Discipleship and Service who is called by God to lead the ministries of discipleship (growing people into Christ-likeness) and Service (creating opportunities for Christians to carry the cause of Christ into the world) at HCPC. This will require leadership of Heights Mission Team and Adult Discipleship Team with a special emphasis on the revitalization of small group ministry at HCPC. A love for Jesus Christ, a passion for growing people in Christ and a gift for organizational leadership is vital in candidates we would consider for this position. As a member of our core ministry team we will expect a high level of professional commitment combined with clear Christian maturity. Believing that biblical knowledge, visionary thinking and equipping of the saints are the basis of every enduring and effective ministry we are looking for a minimum of 3 years of experience in which these skills can be seen at work. A college degree is required. About HCPC: HCPC is an evangelical congregation of 600 members in Albuquerque, New Mexico. With a reputation in the community as a bible teaching church HCPC has long been one of the leading churches in the Albuquerque area. The past five years have brought substantial change in our ministry leadership as well as a refocusing of our vision and plans for ministry. We are seeking the right person to join us in this time of exciting growth and new vision. Although Heights is broadly reformed in doctrine it has always appealed to conservative Christians of many theological and denominational traditions. Thus the culture of our congregation is more like that of a traditionally minded nondenominational church. Our heart's desire is to glorify God by seeing people discover their need for Jesus Christ through our ministry. Our four essential ministries are Worship, Discipleship, Service and Soul Care. Everything we do comes back to those four things with Christ over all.
