The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruitment, training, retention, and appreciation of all direct service volunteers, with the exception of Mentors. The Volunteer Coordinator keeps track of volunteer metrics, i.e. number of new volunteers annually, volunteer hours, etc. The Volunteer Coordinator is part of the Development Team. The Volunteer Coordinator understand and implements our Transformational Giving philosophy. The VC works with the Development Team to move champions from "P" (Participation), to "E" (Engagement), to "O" (Owner) and is mainly responsible for developing and implanting "P" opportunities for volunteers. The VC will partner with other businesses and organizations locally that can work with or provide a service to our teen moms to help them reach self-sufficiency.


Excellent communication skills, both I person and on the phone.

Proficient computer skills, including Word, Excel, and email.

Working knowledge of ETapestry; willingness for continued training.

Good leadership skills and ability to work well with a team.

Highly organized and good with detail.
