Lexington Baptist Church is seeking a candidate for the position of Lead Pastor with a passion for Christ and His Church. He must meet the Biblical requirements as described in I Timothy 3, Titus 1 and I Peter 5. He must aspire to shepherd and lead a local body of believers; be an expositor of the Scripture; be evangelical in theology and baptistic in conviction. The candidate will have successfully completed a post graduate degree, earning a Master of Divinity or equivalent and have at least 7 years of paid, pastoral staff experience with preaching responsibilities.

• Shepherding the local body of believers
• Special charge of the church pulpit ministry Sunday AM, Sunday PM, Wednesday PM, and other special services as well as arranging pulpit supply
• Preparing and leading in Communion and Baptismal services
• Preparing and leading in wedding and funeral services
• Expository preaching of the Word of God with an emphasis on the Gospel
• Overseeing visitation of homebound & nursing home residents, sick & hospitalized church members
• Serving as the administrative lead of the congregation and overseeing the welfare of the church
• Casting vision for the future of the church
• Prudent fiscal management of the church
• Counseling the local body of believers
