  <title>Golden, CO: Chief Chaplain and Life Enrichment &amp; Family Services Coordinator  at State of Colorado</title>
  <description>DUTIES:   This position will develop curricula and infrastructure for a divisional program that trains and provides the skills, knowledge, and fundamental foundation needed to support a healthy work and home life to improve law enforcement services provided by Colorado State Patrol employees.  Position facilitates training, holds counseling sessions, and other sessions/meetings statewide related to workplace morale, home life, and any project implementation and operation.  Position promotes ongoing development and joint communication between Colorado Department of Public Safety and Colorado State University. This partnership will assist in planning and development of a program specific to life enrichment for the employees/family members of Colorado Department of Public Safety.  Position formulates supportive policy for the Division in order to create the necessary organizational infrastructure and capacity to provide the proper environment for improved quality of life and support system to allow employees to achieve their full potential in their careers, families, and communities. 

REQUIREMENTS:  Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree in Theology, Leadership or a closely related field and must have three years professional experience in Critical Incident Stress Management,  (Level 1), and extensive Life Skills experience.  Experience in instruction and curriculum development relating to stress management and life enrichment.  Must have Chaplain experience in a leadership role with a law enforcement agency.  Graduate work in leadership development is preferred. 

SUBSTITUTIONS:  Applicant's work experience which provided the same kind, amount and level of knowledge acquired in the required education may be substituted for the education requirement on a year for year basis. 

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:  Applicants must be willing to be fingerprinted, successfully pass a polygraph, and an extensive background investigation.  If you have used any illegal drugs in the past three years, or have been convicted of a felony or domestic violence, you will be disqualified and will not be hired.

Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is the county hospital in Cheyenne, Wyoming.  Founded in 1867 to serve the needs of the Union Pacific Railroad and military workers, CRMC is now a Level II Trauma Center with a licensed bed capacity of 218, offering complete cardiac, neurological, orthopedic, cancer, trauma and general medical care. CRMC is the only acute care hospital in Cheyenne. 

We are looking for a chaplain to join our energetic and progressive team. Chaplains respond to all major traumas, and cardiopulmonary arrests coming into the Emergency Department, providing pastoral care to patients and families. Chaplains provide support to families for all deaths, assist with spiritual issues in the healing process, provide crisis intervention, and work closely with the medical and nursing staff to provide spiritual care for our patients and their families. A chaplain is in house 7:30am — 4:00pm seven days a week.

Our pastoral care staff of a director and two full time staff chaplains supplemented by six CPE interns and two PRN chaplains. Chaplains work some weekends and on call.

Requirements: M.Div. or equivalent, four units of CPE, board certified or eligible through the APC, NACC, NAJC, or CAPPE.

  <title>South Padre Island, TX: Chaplain at Chapel by the Sea</title>
  <description>OCCUPANCY DATE: On or before December 1, 2008
LOCATION: CHAPEL BY THE SEA, SOUTH PADRE ISLAND, TEXAS
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS: The applicant must have a College or University undergraduate degree and must have completed the requirements of a Theological Seminary that is widely recognized and or sponsored by such denominations as the Presbyterian, Baptist, Methodist or Disciples of Christ, etc., denominations.
EXPERIENCE: The applicant must be serving as or recently retired from the position of senior pastor.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Chapel By The Sea is offering an initial salary of $1700 per month. The position includes a three bedroom, three bath apartment, air conditioned, all utilities including phone, maid service and a fully equipped office. The apartment has all appliances but is unfurnished otherwise. The Chaplain also receives income for conducting Christian weddings. The fee for this activity is $300 to $350 and the Chapel receives a fee of $250. The number of annual weddings is significant. The Chapel offers no insurance and expects the applicant to bare the burden of health and other insurance needs. 
Moving expenses will be provided for coming to the Chapel but not for departure from the Chapel. The position offers vacation time and time for attendance of denominational meetings.
JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Chaplain is expected to offer sermons that meet the needs of a senior citizen congregation on a weekly basis. The schedule for sermons is once on Sunday for the months of April through November, twice on Sunday for the months of December and March, and three times on Sunday for January and February. The Chaplain is also responsible for notifying Board members of repair needs. The Chaplain will be responsible for the scheduling of all weddings and events. The Chaplain has no responsibility for financial activities of the Chapel except for asking for one offering to the Chapel during each service. The Chapel has no Sunday school education program and has no requirement for visitation. 
CHAPEL ORGANIZATION: The Chapel is a non profit corporation with By Laws and is therefore not associated with any denomination. It is run by a Board of Directors. The day to day activities are administered by an Executive Committee which is composed of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and Immediate Past President. The Chapel prohibits the Chaplain from direct participation with political candidates and issues except for the right to vote.
