About Us

Location
Grace Fellowship is an evangelical church located in beautiful York, Pennsylvania. We exist to develop fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ who have local, regional, and global impact, making disciples who make disciples (Acts 1:8, Matthew 28:19-20).

Size
Grace Fellowship (www.GraceYork.com) can be characterized as a family of believers who look to God to faithfully provide every need while actively working to meet the needs of others. The church averages an attendance on Sunday mornings of between 1000-1200 adults and children. Our current pastoral and support team consists of 24 full- and part-time employees.

Growth
We are in a new season, having just brought on our new Lead Pastor, Michael Anthony, in December of 2012. Mike is an expository preacher, and a solid leader who loves people and the Word of God. He and the Grace Fellowship family are committed to evangelism and discipleship permeating the entire church. As of April 2, 2013, more than 80 people have given their lives to Christ as Savior for the first time (since December, 2012), with additional impact that is difficult to capture in writing. God is moving significantly, and we are moving with Him.

Key Ministries
Key areas of ministry for Grace Fellowship include two Sunday Worship Celebrations (9 and 10:45 AM), AWANA, a regionally-known Biblical Counseling ministry, a vibrant Youth Ministry, Men’s and Women’s ministries, a Worship Arts ministry and a growing Missions program.

Campus
Our campus is set on 30 beautiful acres in the rolling hills of York County in South Central Pennsylvania. During the past 13 years the site has been developed to include an auditorium that potentially could seat 2200, a 1000 person gathering area in the lower level along with classrooms for adults and children. As you enter the church there is a large welcoming atrium and another large multi-purpose room, which was the original Sanctuary. In addition there is a cheery nursery, office space and a student center. There remains plenty of available land for future expansion. The property and facilities are outstanding and will allow for even greater future growth.

Church Leadership
Grace Fellowship is governed by its Constitution and Bylaws. We are led by our Lead Pastor and a team of three pastors, and are governed by a team of twelve Elders. In addition to our Lead Pastor, we have a Worship Pastor, a Family Ministries Pastor and an Urban Pastor. Newer Elders are affirmed through a congregational vote, based on nominations of the present Elder Board. Our Lead Pastor is also an Elder and serves as the Chairman of the Elder Board. There is a Deacon Team, which is comprised of 12 men also elected by the congregation, based on nominations provided by the present Board. The deacons care for the church facilities and provide leadership for supporting the Worship Celebration and other large church functions. Elders and deacons serve 4-year terms.

The Lead Pastor largely provides the visionary and operational direction of the pastoral staff, church staff and church leaders. Vision and strategic plans are set through a collaborative effort with Lead Pastor, senior pastoral staff, and the Board of Elders. Major decisions including the hiring of pastoral staff, the initiation of any major building campaign and the approval of annual budgets require a vote of the congregation.

<title>Algoma, WI: Summer Intern at Lakeside Community Church</title>
<description>Lakeside Community Church is a church for people who have given up on church but not on God. As a church, we have a desire to reach out to people far from God and see them grow into passionate followers of Jesus. People are often first attracted to Lakeside by the friendly, loving atmosphere they find and learn that it is a healthy place to grow spiritually, emotionally and relationally.

Lakeside Community Church is in the small town of Algoma, Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Michigan. The area is striking with its beautiful water views and lush countryside. Algoma is the epitome of a small town quality of life and yet it’s only minutes away from Green Bay where you’ll find entertainment, family activities and cultural opportunities. It’s also the gateway to the beauty, culture and uniqueness of Door County.

The summer internship program at Lakeside is an intensive spiritual growth, leadership development and ministry immersion experience. You will be given the opportunity to learn from some great innovative thinkers and creators in ministry, participate in the day to day activities of church staff culture and stretch yourself as a leader. As a Summer Intern at Lakeside you will have the opportunity to learn from a church staff who loves what they do and loves to share their ministry and knowledge with others. Our heart is to help you find your place in the kingdom of God and help discern God's will for your life – the how, where and what God is calling you to do.

This summer internship is a two month ministry opportunity for individuals who desire hands-on training and experience within the church body as they prepare for a future of serving in ministry. The program runs from June 1st through the end of July.

There is no cost to participate, but you will need to raise, or supply, the finances for your support during the internship period. It is a 40-plus hours per week job. There are some weeks you may actually work everyday. It's hard work...but it is very rewarding.

Summer Interns will select a ministry concentration in which they will focus their efforts but will gain a holistic understanding of working as a team within the church. Areas of concentration include: children's, youth and worship ministries.

We hold our interns in high esteem and view them as partners in ministry. During the summer you will engage with the Lakeside leadership community at several levels including weekly staff interaction.

The potential Summer Intern will submit a resume by April 30th to:

Lakeside Community Church
Attn: Pastor Chris Jarrell
E6295 County K
Algoma, WI 54201
OR
Chris@Lakeside-Church.com

Other things you may be wondering about...

What qualifications are you looking for in a Summer Intern?
Most importantly, a heart after God. We do our best, by the grace of God to create an atmosphere and culture in our church where people follow God passionately, and are sold out to him and his purposes. Having some previous leadership and/or ministry experience is definitely a plus. Being flexible, having a good attitude, and good interpersonal skills are definitely a must to survive in ministry. We feel it is important to have good relational chemistry with you, and we weigh that with every decision.

Do I need a car?
Yes. There is quite a lot available in Algoma for being a small town but you will inevitably want to explore Door County – the “Cape Cod of the Midwest” and head into Green Bay (about a 40 minute drive) or other surrounding communities for added cultural experiences or shopping.

Can I get college credit?
At this time, we do not offer any programs with higher learning institutions that could result in college credit.

Does Lakeside provide housing?
Currently we do not have housing to provide for our Summer Interns, so you would be responsible for finding housing. However, we will do everything we can to help you find a great place to live.

Is the Summer Internship program Full or Part Time?
We think that to get the full experience and feel for the consistency of ministry, it is important that a Summer Intern be full time.

Can I seek part-time employment?
Certainly. You may seek employment while you are a Summer Intern at Lakeside. We ask, however, that ministry expectations and time requirements take precedent over outside work schedules.

How can I find out more information?
Contact Chris Jarrell, Chris@Lakeside-Church.com, 920-487-3906.

<title>Katy, TX: Family Pastor of Kids Ministry at The Waters Church</title>
<description>The primary purpose of the Family Pastor of Kids Ministry is to provide leadership, direction, and management over all aspects of the family ministry for kids. The Family Pastor of Kids Ministry will serve as the chief leader, innovator, and communicator of children's ministries at The Waters. While all ministries at The Waters will function within the framework of the larger church vision, the Family Pastor will seek to creatively implement that vision in a relevant and effective manner with children from birth through 5th Grade (or age 10).

Currently, more than 50 children take part in the weekend Children’s Ministry with most in the 1st - 5th grade range. However, high growth is anticipated at The Waters over the next ten years particularly with young families. In addition, future plans include the establishment of a permanent facility with the possibility of additional sites in the coming years. Given the demographics of Katy and the track record of growth at The Waters, it is expected that the Family and Children's Ministries will experience high growth in the next few years.</description>

<title>Denver, CO: Children Ministries at Hope Crossing Church </title>
<description>Hope Crossing Church is a growing community in S.W. Denver. Our vision is to be known within our 3 mile radius as a place where people can find hope, peace, and purpose. We are praying that God allows us to see 300 people come to know Christ in the immediate future. We are also praying God allows us to become a multiplying church by way of planting 2 churches in our community. We call this vision - Vision 303.
We are a turn around church beginning our 3rd year in the turn around process. God has blessed our efforts. In the past 3 years, the average age of our congregation has dropped approximately 25 years. In 2011, Denver was identified as the top destination for relocating families and individuals between the age of 25 and 44. With this growth, we have recognized the need to train and equip; families, fathers, and mothers to be the spiritual directors in the lives of their kids.
We have also recognized that our neighborhood has experienced rapid growth in the Hispanic population. In 2000 our zip code held 2% Hispanics. By the 2010 census, that numbers soared to 28%. Much of this growth has come by way of second generation Hispanic families. If we are going to be faithful to what God has called us to do in our community, we must address this culture shift. The Vietnamese population has experienced rapid growth in our zip code as well. With this in mind, applicants with cross cultural experience are encouraged to apply.
