Collierville, TN: Senior Pastor at Collierville Bible Church

The Senior Pastor of CBC will, along with the elders, provide for the spiritual health, growth, and well-being of the CBC congregation and lead it in fulfilling its mission as a part of the Body of Christ—to teach, equip, and mature disciples of Jesus Christ to impact the world for God’s kingdom.

The position requires great flexibility and working hours, including evenings and weekends. The pastor will be expected to be available in the church office to prepare for worship services, attend to the needs of the congregation, and communicate with staff members. He will be one of the governing elders. He must also tend to the needs of his family and spend adequate “down time” for relaxation and personal growth. Although all responsibilities are, of course, subject to review and adjustment as needs require, the primary responsibilities of the Senior Pastor include:

•	Plan and lead worship services. 40-45 sermons per year
•	Preach/exposit God’s word from the pulpit
•	Coordinate and direct Music Team Leader to develop and maintain worship music
•	Plan and officiate at baptisms, weddings, and funerals
•	Provide pastoral care, to include counseling, to the CBC members
•	Direct, encourage, and mentor ministry staff
•	Plan, coordinate, and direct outreach
•	Assist in management and administration of CBC day-to-day business
•	Conduct regular staff meetings to foster teamwork, facilitate communication, and optimize ministry support activities
•	Engage in missions work, both local and abroad

The elders, staff, and members of CBC are eager, energetic, and competent to partner with their shepherd to further CBC’s commitment to help build our Lord’s kingdom. The incoming Senior Pastor will be afforded as much transition time as he needs to assure a “good fit” into this position.

Hatch, NM: Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Hatch

We are a small rural agricultural town that is 80% Hispanic. We are world famous for our Hatch Green Chile. We need an enthusiastic young man of God to lead us. Are you that man? Then we have been praying fervently for you! We prefer a man who is married, never divorced. Bilingual (English-Spanish) would be great but is not required (Our town's population is 80% Hispanic, Spanish speaking.) We do have a Sunday afternoon service in Spanish led by a wonderful little Honduran power-house church planter and his awesome family. They stand in our grocery stores and talk to people and get them into church. To be honest, the only real growth in our church as been on that side of our congregation. Even though there is one Lord, the two congregations are pretty separate. We really wish we could do more with our "sister church" and worship together sometimes, but the language barrier is profound. Also, our congregation is aging, our average age is probably late 40s to mid 50s. At this time, we only have 3 small children. We also help to minister to a local ranch that helps out troubled youths. They bring those teens in to church about once a month. Other than that, any young people we have only come to visit us sporadically, not on a regular basis. We really are praying for someone who is enthusiastic, energetic, and can help us be obedient to the Lord in reaching out to the lost community. Do you think you could help us? Are you that man? Thank you.

Newaygo, MI: Lead Pastor at River Valley Community Church

Newaygo is a small community about 35 miles north of Grand Rapids. It is located on the Muskegon River with many outdoor recreational activities. The population is about 2,400. Because of its proximity to Grand Rapids and the recreational opportunities, there continues to be substantial growth in both new families and businesses moving into the community. The city and community have been very progressive in welcoming this growth including improvements to the parks, schools, and renovations to downtown. Farming and recreation are the two primary economic resources for Newaygo County, but a substantial part of the area commutes to Grand Rapids for work. While the Newaygo area is a great place to live, historically area families struggle both economically and socially. Through the years unemployment remains high, the family structure is deteriorating, and the number of teens and children in crisis is significantly rising. These have proven to be significant and urgent challenges and opportunities in strengthening outreach and influence within the community.

River Valley Community Church is located on a corner of the major thoroughfare just outside of town. It is highly visible and easily accessible with room for building and ministry expansion. The church was originally formed in 1982, and then built at the current location in 1987. The church has been affiliated with the Evangelical Free Church of America since 1989. Although church attendance has been over 200, current attendance is about 60 people. Historically, four full time Pastors and two Interim Pastors have ministered at RVCC. Currently, more than 60% of our congregation is under the age of 50, and come from various denominational, vocational, and economic backgrounds. This has created an environment that is stayed on foundational doctrines and is readily open to ministry and outreach. Through the years, RVCC has placed a strong emphasis on small group ministry. While the church has a children's ministry, it does not currently have a youth ministry; however RVCC has previously maintained a youth program and recognizes the significant needs within our community for substantial ministry to family and youth. Identifying significant economic, spiritual, and emotional needs within our community for the past several years, RVCC has been significantly involved in a food distribution ministry. The church has also been significantly involved in local ministries providing support and assistance to individuals and families in crisis. Despite this involvement over the years, River Valley is burdened to increasing these ministries within the community and building stronger partnerships with local ministries and churches. The church is committed to identifying greater ministry opportunities to families and the community as a whole with the Gospel of Jesus Christ in both word and deed.

Historically RVCC has been blessed with Elder and Deacon Boards which provide strong and passionate leadership; active ministry leaders; and a church family that has been committed to ministry ownership and small group involvement. Although the church is currently without a Pastor, those commitments remain unwavering; and demonstrate a love and conviction among its people to honor Jesus Christ and be found faithful and obedient to that which He has called us.

People appreciate the friendliness and love that are shown at River Valley. And while there is a strong family atmosphere here, the flock is committed to continued growth both relationally and numerically. We have a passion for the Word of God, and creating teaching environments that challenge personal growth and equip the flock for further ministry and outreach. The congregation has been very open to changes in Sunday formats, music, small groups, and various ministry opportunities. Historically RVCC has been very receptive to ever-expanding vision and ministry to better feed and equip the flock as well as expand our outreach and influence in the community. While there are several churches in the area, the doctrine, balance in ministry, openness, and demographics of the congregation significantly position RVCC to meet the increasing spiritual needs in this community.

We are depending on God for a man with passion and vision to join us in ministry; a man with the heart of a shepherd and the humility of a servant, to relate both personally and compassionately to the flock. He must be a man absorbed in the Word and prayer, who teaches clearly from the pulpit and models it consistently in his life. While he may not be perfect, he is a leader who has the heart and passion to envision what God can do, and a love for others that mentors and disciples them in personal growth and ministry. We are trusting God for a man committed to deepening relationships, strengthening people spiritually, and possessing the passion and vision to help lead us in expanding our ministry, evangelism, and outreach to this community- A man with the faith, boldness, and passion to join us in a “new work” in the Newaygo community.

We desire a loving, servant leader who will preach and teach the Word of God effectively and dynamically, exercise visionary leadership, relate well to both believers and non-believers in the community, and develop/empower lay leadership.
Fairbury, NE: Senior Pastor at Cornerstone Community Church

Cornerstone Community Church is a nondenominational church which started in January 2011. It is exciting to see God’s many blessings, both in spiritual growth of those attending, as well as tangible gifts such as financial stability and facilities. He has provided above and beyond, and we are excited to continue looking to Him for guidance and direction and praising Him alone for Cornerstone! Our desire as a church is to grow in Christ by knowing and “doing” the Word. Most importantly, the pastor should have a life and testimony which reveal a growing walk with Christ as an individual. At Cornerstone, the pastor-teacher should have a passion for sharing and teaching the written Word in an effective manner. As a smaller community, establishing relationships with people who attend the church and with those in the community will be important to help mature and equip believers and reach the lost. Fairbury is a town with a population of approximately 4,000 people. It has a variety of businesses, manufacturing, service industries and a nice selection of restaurants; it draws business from local residents as well as from neighboring counties and northern Kansas. Located in Jefferson County, in southern Nebraska, Fairbury is approximately 70 miles from Lincoln, Nebraska’s state capitol. Please visit www.Fairbury.com for a nice overview of our town! Visit our website and/or our facebook page (FairburyCornerstone) to read more about us.

Important to Sonoita Bible Church • Strong pastoral care qualities • Effective leader • Evangelistic fervor • Local area residency (parsonage is available if desired) • Community involvement COMMUNITY PROFILE Sonoita is located in the high grasslands of southern Arizona about 1 hour from Tucson and 40 minutes each from Sierra Vista and the border-crossing town of Nogales. At 5,000 feet elevation, the temperatures run about 10 degrees cooler than in Tucson. This is traditionally a ranching area, but now is also considered wine country, with wide open spaces, beautiful sunsets and the “dark skies” stargazers long for. An eclectic community, the Sonoita area is home to retired college professors and business people, families who work at Raytheon in Tucson or Fort Huachuca in Sierra Vista, small business owners and ranchers (cattle & alpacas.) While we have no supermarket, we do have restaurants, mini-marts, auto repair shops, a hardware & gift store, feed stores, a medical clinic, drug store, and the Fair Grounds where rodeos, horse shows, races, and the Santa Cruz County Fair are held each year. Elgin is an even smaller community than Sonoita with no businesses other than wineries and ranches. However, the Sonoita/Elgin/Patagonia area boasts excellent schools – both public and private. Montessori, Christian, two public elementaries, a fine high school – all small enough for each student to get individual attention. For more information on the Sonoita/Elgin area, please see the following websites: http://sonoitaaz.com/index.htm http://www.sonoitaelginchamber.org/ Patagonia, just 12 miles down the road, is a very different place – just as delightful as Sonoita, but in a very different way. Nestled at the bottom of the mountains and right on a major birding flyway, it is a riparian area. It has a large Hispanic population, many artists and a strong sustainability movement both on a local and international scale. It has an outstanding old-time Fourth of July celebration and a three day art festival in October. The town of Patagonia has a pool located on the grounds of the high school and Patagonia Lake has a good swimming beach and fishing. For more information about the Patagonia area, please see their website, which is kept up-to-date, is http://www.patagoniaaz.com/ CHURCH PROFILE Sonoita Bible Church draws families from Elgin, Canelo, Rain Valley, Patagonia, and even Vail in Pima County. Our average attendance is 70 people - however, our ministries are dynamic and draw from a number of area churches. • One of our fastest growing ministries is our Southgate Youth Group. This group meets weekly and consists of high schoolers, middle schoolers, and elementary students. We host an average of 50-60 kids each Wednesday evening. This ministry provides a fun, faith based time, where everyone feels welcome. Our leaders have a passion to see the next generation equipped with the Truth of God’s Word. • As children and teens make up a big part of this congregation, we offer them a curriculum during church service that provides the truth on their level. Our teachers ensure a safe and nurturing environment for all to thrive and flourish. • Vacation Bible School is a dynamic outreach of the church that has been going strong for over 15 years. Middle and high school aged youth from all over the area eagerly join together with teachers and volunteers from our and other local churches to help the younger children enjoy their time with crafts, music, missions, recreation activities and of course Bible lessons. Between attending children, teen assistants, and adults, our VBS engages over 140 people each summer and culminates in a family night celebration, dinner and performance that drew 245 people this year. • Our worship team respects all ages with a mixture of contemporary praise music and traditional hymns. • Missionary outreach has long been a priority at Sonoita Bible Church. We have sent several families out from our body, and consider our monthly support contributions a non-negotiable priority. • Both Men’s and Women’s Bible Studies meet weekly, offering a time to fellowship and to dive into and explore the depths of God’s Living Word. • Prayer changes things. That is why we come together as a body of believers to pray for our church on a weekly basis. In addition to weekly prayer, our church meets every second Sunday of the month to have a “Prayer Walk” around our church campus. • MomsInTouch is a group of mighty prayer warriors serious about lifting up students in our schools. This group meets weekly and has seen God’s protection and abundant blessings over the eleven years it has met. • Our email prayer chain enables all our local churches to connect with the needs and praises that are happening in our community. Sonoita Bible Church also reaches out to the community by allowing other organizations to use our facilities for their activities, such as Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, AA and other groups as needs arise.
