General Responsibilities
Develop websites using PHP, MySQL, JavaScript and CSS
    	Generate reports and data pulls using SQL
    	Works effectively in a team environment to analyze and design new features.
Requirements
    	Able to faithfully sign the MOPS International Faith and Values Statement.
Shows programming/development skills in the following areas: HTML, PHP, OOP (Object Oriented Programming), JavaScript, MySQL and using SQL, and Cascading Style Sheets.
    	Analytical and problem solving abilities.
Willingness to hang out in with a bunch of people who like to eat donuts and geek out on the latest trends in web development.
   	 Positive and flexible with a can-do attitude.
    	B.S. in Computer Science or relevant academic fields preferred...or just really smart.
   	 Work experience in developing and maintaining web sites.
Strong working knowledge of web and systems design, database design and software development methodologies and use of applications such as Zend Studio, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Visio, and MySQL Admin.
   	 Working knowledge of front end design, graphical design, and usability standards a plus.
   	 Effective interpersonal skills for frequent interaction with customers, management, and subordinates.
   	 Basic PC support skills in a Windows environment.
Salary
 $40,000-$50,000 and commensurate with skills and experience

Position Summary:
•	Work as an integral part of the Web Services team. Responsible to develop, deploy, and administer technical aspects of all Internet-related applications and services as assigned by Information Services leadership and the Creative department.
Responsibilities include:
•	Develop/maintain website applications and pages per specifications and schedule.
•	Integrate ministry websites with other business processes per specifications and schedule.
•	Technical management of the ministry’s content management system including application and template development, permissions management, topic list management, etc.
•	Develop and perform complete unit-testing of website applications with Web Services team.
•	Keep source code well-maintained at all times per department standards.
•	Administration of all search engine and statistical reporting systems.
•	Work with our media team and media-hosting provider(s) to incorporate various media assets onto websites.
•	Actively participate in Internet-related strategic and tactical planning.
Requirements:
•	Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems
•	3 to 5 years of web application development experience 
•	MUST have demonstrated proficiency in the following technologies:
o	Object-oriented programming languages (C#, C++, or Java)
o	Microsoft ASP.Net
o	XHTML/HTML/CSS with ability to author HTML without reliance upon a code generating tool such as FrontPage/Dreamweaver
o	JavaScript
o	Design, and deployment of relational databases (MS SQL Server preferred)
o	SQL programming language (Microsoft T/SQL expertise preferred)
o	Web-servers and hosting of websites using Microsoft IIS.
•	Demonstrated ability to work well within a small development team structure.

Position Summary:

Provides technical support to the Seminary by focusing on design, implementation and maintenance of solutions to the Seminary’s servers, infrastructure, network (LAN, WAN, Internet) and application service needs.

Essential Functions:

•	Provide primary line of support for all business critical Seminary servers and systems

•	Research, design and implement solutions that optimize server provisioning, configuration management, performance

•	Build, optimize and maintain Linux and Windows servers both physical and virtual (VMWare)

•	Install, configure and optimize performance of all server based software

•	Install, configure and optimize performance of database servers

•	Perform and verify centralized backups of Linux and Windows servers

•	Maintain security of internal &amp; external networks

•	Implement and maintain information security standards as set forth by Seminary

•	Perform regular periodic security and performance testing on Seminary systems

•	Make recommendations to enhance maintainability, security and recoverability of Seminary systems

•	Design and implement disaster recovery/business continuity solutions

•	System documentation to include system reviews and recommendations

•	Communication with customers as required: keeping them informed of incident progress, notifying them of impending changes or agreed outages

•	Design, develop and implement systems monitoring and alerting solution

•	Assist in establishing and implementing configuration management program and policies

Other Responsibilities:

-	Improve customer service, perception, and satisfaction

-	Document internal processes and procedures related to duties and responsibilities

-	Author internal documentation, such as environment diagrams, installation/configuration documents and release notes

-	Review IT publications and online materials to remain up-to-date with current and future technologies emerging in the industry

-	Troubleshoot and debug environment and infrastructure problems found in the production and non-production environments

-	Provide Local and Wide Area Network support

-	Monitor software used to send alerts when network problems occur

-	Review server logs for anomalies or errors

-	Analyze server resource usage to measure efficiency and determine upgrade needs

-	Maintain internal and external DNS and DHCP services (Windows DNS and Bind)

-	On call for all Seminary issues related to Information Technology

Financial Responsibility/Authority:

- Contribute to “New Equipment Budget” planning consisting of approximately $250,000.

Education/Certification/Training/Experience Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

- Undergraduate or Technical degree in Computer Science required.

- Ability to identify, analyze and troubleshoot problems required.

- Knowledge of Cisco IOS and TCP/IP network layer required.

- Knowledge of VMWare for server virtualization required.

- Knowledge of iSCSI storage area networks required (Dell EqualLogic).

- Knowledge of Ubuntu GNU/Linux Server and Windows Server operating systems required.

- Comfortable with open source software and communities required.

- Ability to use programming languages such as perl, php and python desired.

- Be able to maintain confidentiality, due to access to highly sensitive data.

- Strong desire to learn and keep up with changes in technology

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS: 
Bachelor’s Degree in computer-related field or three years of technical network experience or an equivalent combination of applicable education and experience is required. Demonstrated skills in Microsoft Operating System, Microsoft Exchange and Active Directory is required.  Redhat Linux, and VM Ware are highly desirable.

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORT: 
•	Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. 
•	Limited exposure to physical risk. 
•	Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
•	Some evenings and weekends are required.
