Littleton, CO: Worship Leader at The Neighborhood Church

The Neighborhood Church is a young EPC church plant meeting in the Bowles and C-470 area (unincorporated Littleton). We haven’t held our Grand Opening yet, although we’re meeting weekly and holding monthly worship gatherings with about 70 people who already consider us their church home. We’re looking for a worship leader who values:
•	Joining a community of people intent on living life together;
•	Leading corporate worship as a lead worshipper rather than lead entertainer;
•	Exploring Ancient-Future forms of worship;
•	Holding fast to the anchor of Scripture and historic Christianity—while looking for new ways of expressing it;

Although we have some funds for compensation, we’re looking for a worship leader who wants to be a part of a community rather than serve as the hired gun.

Two pastors are planting this church:
Eugene Scott (a 1989 Denver Seminary graduate) and Mike Klassen (former Associate Pastor at Lookout Mountain Community Church).

Values of The Neighborhood Church include:
•	Experiential corporate worship
•	Lifelong spiritual transformation
•	Congregation-based ministry
•	Vibrant community
•	Missional living
•	Viral church planting

Northville, MI: Director of Contemporary Worship and Creative Ministries at Ward Evangelical Presbyterian Church

This position is newly created with the expectation of contributing to create a culture that helps grow Ward down in age, and out in focus. At the core of this young leader will be an authentic and contagious follower of Jesus Christ. Although the responsibilities of this position are many, the Director will be someone who prioritizes the worship of God in Spirit and in Truth. Encouraging contemporary and creative expressions throughout the church while embracing the doctrinal essentials of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church will be more than an opportunity. This will be a calling that God directs.

The Director will be creative, have a passion for excellence, be hard-working and have the ability to encourage the best in others. As with all artists in key leadership positions, this person will need to be able to handle the details of ministry coordination with an ability to prioritize and schedule. Reporting directly to the Senior Pastor emphasizes the responsibility of helping create an overall culture of creativity that thinks outside the box while being sensitive to appropriate timing and context. Managing a great team of faithful volunteers while always looking to call out the gifts of more people will be a key part of this persons leadership.

This position requires an experienced, full-time leader of contemporary worship in a large ministry setting. While communicating a vision for the future, the Director will have the ability and perseverance to work through the process of helping change happen. With great people skills to complement their musical giftedness, the Director of Contemporary Worship and Creative Ministries will influence and lead far beyond a weekly contemporary worship service.

Inquiry Process

We encourage anyone who meets the qualifications and senses a potential calling for such an opportunity to contact us and discuss the position. Alternatively, you may know someone you wish to recommend for consideration.

We look forward to receiving the resume of qualified candidates. In order to become better introduced, we also request written responses to the following questions:

1.Describe your relationship to Jesus Christ. How do you practice your faith every day?
2.Describe a memorable church worship experience that you were a part of and would most like to recreate again. What would you add, change or do differently?
3.Explain your strategy for attracting and developing the many paid and volunteer leaders needed to serve with worship ministries, while producing a healthy and growing team environment.
4.Describe five reasons why you believe you are uniquely prepared for this opportunity?

Please also provide a sample of your worship leadership by directing us to a visual online recording or providing a DVD. All submitted packets should include five references (with two previous supervisors, two subordinates and a peer). Include phone and email information for each reference. We will not contact your references until later in the process and only when you have given approval.
