  <title>Englewood, CO : Web/Graphic Designer at Officers' Christian Fellowship</title>
  <description>PURPOSE: Serve as the Web/Graphic Designer for web development and graphic production of Command magazine, an all-member newsletter, brochures, general audience booklets, advertising, capital campaign and special publications. SUPERVISOR: Responsible to the Director of Communications. RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Web. Design, maintain, and update OCF website, working with web host. a. Develop, maintain, enhance, and recommend OCF social media opportunities. b. Produces graphic sketches, designs, and copy layouts for online content management and coordination. Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon available space, knowledge of layout principles, and aesthetic design concepts. c. Processes images and graphics and creates background. Also produces HTML pages. d. Generates and manipulates graphic images, animations, sound, text and video into multimedia programs. e. Assists director in maintaining an OCF presence on Facebook and new and emerging social media. f. Track and update OCF domain names (Go Daddy, etc.) 2. Publications. Design OCF publications, working with the publications team. a. Research and obtain illustrations, quality photos, sketches, designs, and copy layouts for content. b. Uses knowledge of current graphic design software (i.e., InDesign, PhotoShop) to produce graphic art and visual materials for COMMAND magazine, newsletters, CD and DVD packaging, advertisements, and informative and instructional material. c. Makes design and web recommendations to the editor/director. d. Insures accuracy of material sent to the printer and on the website. e. Processes documents for prepress production. 3. Coordination. Coordinate with other OCF staff, web host, and web consultant in preparation and production of above content to ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality of design. Coordinate with other staff and review monthly the field staff reports for calendar items to include in Facebook and on the OCF website. 4. Proofread. Accurately proofread draft and final copies of manuscripts of Command and other publications and content for internet use. Responsible for accuracy on website and Facebook. 5. Other. Perform other duties as directed. SKILLS REQUIRED: 1. Ability to work in a multi-faceted environment where large effort and a number of steps are required to complete web, social media, and print production pieces. 2. Good design sensibility and graphic design skills for designing brochures, advertising pieces, magazine and newsletters, web, and social media. 3. Ability to assist the Director of Communications with production issues, such as matching artwork with content, quality assurance, as well as specifications related to basic layout, graphic design, and internet design and maintenance. 4. Familiarity with basic web and publishing software, such as CMS, MS Word, InDesign. 5. Basic interpersonal skills, such as working with authors, editors, internal staff, field staff, and being involved with the hiring process for others in the department. 6. General graphic design, web skills and standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the design field are expected. 7. Performs a variety of tasks as called upon in a teamwork environment. 8. May require a bachelor&amp;rsquo;s degree or its equivalent and/or two years of experience in the field or in a related area. VALUES: 1. Represents the Director of Communications and the organization both internally and externally. Needs personable and respectful interactions with others, especially working diplomatically with authors and staff. 2. Focuses on effective and efficient use of time with a goal of quality and creativity. 3. Enjoys learning new internet, graphic design, and technological techniques for an innovative approach to graphically present content presentation in keeping with authors&amp;rsquo; intent and the vision and purpose of OCF. WORKING CONDITIONS: The position is located in the OCF home office. The position is full-time (40 hours per week). No travel is required.</description>
