Our Mentors
Excellence in Mentoring Award
At each year’s commencement ceremonies we are privileged to recognize a mentor whose investment in the lives of Denver Seminary students has been outstanding, both in terms of quality and quantity. Since we are blessed with quite a number of mentors whose ministry could be recognized in this way, we struggle to narrow it down to just one. Still we want to follow the biblical pattern of honoring those who invest so sacrificially.

The 2010 recipient of the Excellence in Mentoring Award was Rev. Deral Schrom, senior pastor of South Suburban Christian Church in Littleton. For several years Pastor Schrom has steadily invested his wisdom, experience, and love in the lives of Denver Seminary students through both one-on-one mentoring relationships and also through his mentoring leadership of numerous spiritual formation groups on campus.
We are grateful to God for Deral and the many mentors like him who continue to be such a vital part of the educational process here at Denver Seminary. It may sound trite, but it’s really true that we could not do what we do without the hundreds of mentors who work with our students each semester.
Congratulations and thanks, Pastor Schrom!
