Description:
Mountain Vista Retirement Community in Wheat Ridge, CO has an outstanding opportunity for a caring, self-directed, dedicated chaplain. The Director of Spiritual Care oversees and ensures the provision of spiritual care to residents, their loved ones, and as appropriate, staff of the community.
• Actively participate in the delivery of spiritual care
• Maintain and encourage contact between residents and their own faith communities
• Coordinate clergy, spiritual visitors, and volunteers from the religious community
• Support and promote an interdisciplinary approach to spiritual care
• Contribute to the wider community, focusing on local churches, and American Baptist Churches specifically, through preaching, teaching and education
• Provide opportunities for churches and the wider community to support BHA through volunteering and making in-kind and financial donations.
The Director of Spiritual Care reports to the Administrator and is an integral part of the community’s management team.
