Worship and Mountair’s Mission
Our mission is to be disciples of Jesus and make disciples of Jesus. Our Sunday gatherings are an important part of fulfilling this mission. We want to create the space for people to worship God in Spirit and truth. Doing this requires taking seriously truth, beauty, emotions, and the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Responsibilities
Plan and lead Sunday worship gathering(s).*
Actively pursue the formation of a worship team (or multiple teams) to assist on Sunday morning. Provide spiritual leadership and development for this team.
Coordinate the execution of all elements of Sunday morning services.

Qualifications
A commitment to following Jesus and his way.
Experience leading worship.
Experience providing spiritual leadership.
Willingness and ability to learn and lead a variety of styles of music.

Approximate Time Breakdown
Sunday Morning Coordination and Leading: 4 hours (8:00-Noon)
Worship Planning with Staff and Team Members: 1-2 hours
Leadership Team Meetings: 1 hour
Worship Practice with Worship Team: 1 hours
Worship Preparation (powerpoint, video, etc): 1-2 hours
In addition to these responsibilities, the Worship Leader will be expected to engage in the life of the church through a Community Group and all-church events. This is approximately 2-3 hours a week and is not included in the time allotted for this position.

*We currently have one worship gathering. It is traditional in style with hymns and some praise songs from the late 90s and early 2000s mixed in. An important part of this position is working with the pastoral staff to begin a new service early next year. We want the new service to be creative and reflect the community where we’re located.
