An "Engaging" Adventure Preview

This October the crisp feel of autumn came and went quickly as winter dumped its gentle white reminder on Colorado. The water rich trees presented their colors only briefly as their leaves fell to the ground from winter-like cold snaps. The often unpredictable, but always beautiful, Colorado is just one of the draws of attending Denver Seminary.

For prospective students, Adventure Previews provide amazing opportunities to get to know Denver Seminary more while experiencing the majesty of the Rocky Mountains and surrounding destinations. October 8-9, 2009, presented a group exactly that – a horseback ride through Rocky Mountain National Park.
Bundled up in hats, scarves and jackets, the crew set out on a three-hour horseback ride filled with outstanding views of snow-capped peaks along the Continental Divide. Photo opportunities were around every corner demanding a break here and there, along with a much needed warm beverage.

While enjoying rest from riding horseback, two adventurers took a moment to admire the scenery and share in their excitement about journeying to Denver. It was in this moment that prospective student Neil proposed to his girlfriend Erin in a first ever Adventure Previews engagement! Erin accepted, and the two rejoined the group with warm hearts and bright smiles. Priscilla Young was ready with her camera to capture the moment for the young couple, and the entire group shared in this momentous occasion through celebration and prayer.
Congratulations to Neil and Erin! Denver Seminary hopes to continue to be a part of your lives together as you make decisions about the future.
