Seminary Experiences Record Enrollment

  • Jan 28, 2009

Amid word of many higher education institutions' challenges with declining enrollment, Denver Seminary is pleased to announce the third straight semester of record numbers for incoming students. The spring 2009 term witnessed a 51% increase of new students over last year at this same time!

While many factors play a part in these numbers, Robert Jones, Vice President of Student Life and Enrollment Management, acknowledges that the biggest factor for this growth is God's continuing grace and provision. "It is both exciting and humbling that God would allow Denver Seminary to continue to grow, even in difficult economic times," states Jones. "We're excited to see what He does next!"

Special thanks should be extended to Denver Seminary's committed Admissions Team who continually strive to help prospective students find the calling that God has placed on their lives.

If you are considering seminary, and you want to be a part of the exciting things that God is doing at Denver Seminary, please don't hesitate to contact the Admissions Team, and be sure to check out how to Become a Student at Denver Seminary.

What is our final head count for this semester? I never heard.

Robert Jones

Craig, the final head count was 897. Given our record graduation class in December, I am real excited with this number.

Jayne Raffety

Please tell me the breakdown of the 897 in the class....how many are in the MDiv program? different Masters Programs?... How many Females/ Males in the M Div program? Also what is the age breakdown in the MDiv program?

Robert Jones

Jayne, 48% of our students are spread out in our MA programs, 28% in our MDiv program, 16% in our DMin, and the remaining 8% are non-degrees. Our gender breakdown is 60/40 male/female. And our average age is approx. 31 yrs old. Hope this helps.
