The Story of Samantha Samaniego

“IDEAL has really helped me to dig deeper…”

Samantha was born in Los Angeles and now works as a paralegal for Lau and Choi, a law firm in Denver. She is the mother of 18-year-old Jesse, a student at Horizon High School in Thornton. Although English was always her primary language, she grew up in a Spanish speaking church because of her mom’s spiritual influence. When she was 13, she became a Christian and has been following Christ ever since.

 In the winter of 2007, Wilmer Ramírez and the promotional team came to Samantha’s church, Templo Evangélico Bautista, to promote the IDEAL Institute. After hearing the presentation, she decided to enroll in on-site classes at the Templo. In the coming months, she completed the first half of the Plan Básico at her church. During the spring of 2009 she completed the Plan Básico at Denver Seminary and is now continuing on to the Plan Ministerial. 

 “The classes at IDEAL have helped me to really understand the Bible for the first time,” said Samantha. The clear explanations of topics ranging from Genesis and creation to the character of God have given her new confidence to serve in ministry. 

Samantha now serves the girls youth ministry at Templo Bautista. She teaches Sunday school class to her group and leads group events. “After my first year of IDEAL, I now feel like I can explain the Bible, and not just read it to them,” Samantha said. “IDEAL has really helped me to dig deeper.”
