Rockland Community Church is a large church located in the foothills, outside the town of Golden, Colorado. We are affiliated with the United Church of Christ (UCC). Within the UCC tradition, we represent a more evangelical focus. Rockland Community Church currently has 700 regularly attending families. There is an average of 575 adults and 250 children and youth during our two services on Sunday mornings. We have three full time pastors and a staff of 12 individuals, most of whom are part time. We have a very strong adult music program and we wish to continue to grow in this area.

Experience And Qualifications We Are Seeking:
We are seeking a Christian candidate with at least 5 years experience directing an adult or high school choir. Our music program includes an adult choir, a worship band/group, a bell choir, and many talented instrumentalists and soloists. Candidates need to be comfortable with a variety of music styles. This person must have experience leading choirs in either a church or school setting (church setting preferred). We are seeking a committed and motivated individual to encourage our musicians, recruit new participants, draw families into the church, and to enrich our overall music program.

Candidates must work well as a member of our staff team at Rockland Community Church. We are seeking an individual with a broad range of musical training, who is flexible, and has a heart for Christ. Additionally hand bell direction experience is preferred.

The interim is to begin serving mid-August 2008 through May 2009.
