Sexual Abuse Intervention Therapist at Savio House

Description:

Position's Primary Functions/Objective:
To provide family therapy services to clients and families with sexually abusive adolescents and their families to stop abusive behavior and prevent its recurrence through monitoring, education and therapeutic intervention. The program serves adolescent males and females, twelve to twenty-one years of age, who have committed a sexual offense.

Summary of Responsibilites:
Intake: direct the orientation process with the new client
Supervision: all aspects of treatment and discharge planning, monitoring case service plans.
Group Therapy: facilitate and supervise offense specific group sessions, insure offense-specific curriculum is utilized and documented
Family Therapy Services: insuring that clients received 1-3 hours of family therapy services per week, work flexible hours to accommodate family therapy needs
Written Documents: maintain weekly progress notes
Court Hearings: attend court hearing, foster care reviews and related meetings.
Other duties as assigned.
