I am a proud native of Colorado, though my story has taken me far beyond the bounds of these mountains. I grew up in southwestern Colorado with a family that loved to camp, hike, fish, and hunt. My college years took me to Los Angeles, where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Biblical Languages and Cross-cultural ministries at LIFE Pacific College. While there, I married my husband, who is also a fellow scholar and Hebrew nerd. Following graduation, I worked for several years in Study Abroad at Azusa Pacific University, and it was through my work there that I became connected with Jerusalem University College in Israel. My husband and I recently finished a 3-year chapter of our lives in Jerusalem, where we earned Masters degrees in Historical Geography and Archaeology. We are now back to one of the most beautiful locations on the planet, and I love that I can now combine my love of the mountains with my academic focus at Denver Seminary!
My experiences have given me a passion for the Bible, archaeology, and global perspectives. In my time abroad, I have seen God provide for me, direct me, stretch me, and use me in ways I never thought possible, and I’ve seen Him work to help me achieve my dreams. And now, I love that I can use my experiences to encourage students who feel called to Denver Seminary, to persevere in order to follow God’s unique and special calling for their lives.
