The Church of Christ the King (Episcopal) is vibrant parish in Arvada, Colorado of about 300 members. Our children and youth programs are growing and there is a lot of energy and excitement in the congregation to see these areas flourish. We love our kids and want to help them learn about our faith in Jesus Christ.
We are seeking a Director of Christian Education to work 15-20 hours a week, including Sundays, to lead our program into our next chapter.
Qualifications:
Experience coordinating Christian Education programs
Knowledge of curriculum about Christian faith and theology
Familiarity with the Episcopal Church
Skills/Qualities Desired
A person of authentic faith, growing as a disciple of Christ
Good leader
Good organizational skills
Spiritually and emotionally mature
Creative
Team-oriented
Description of Work
Coordinate "CTK Kids" Program on Sunday Mornings during the service time
Direct Sunday Morning Sunday School Program
Work with Parish Administrator for Children's Bulletins
Conduct and lead regular Christian Education meetings
Plan and lead a VBS program
Order appropriate supplies and curriculum for all Christian Ed. areas
