The candidate will be co-equals with our elder pastor team. This candidate must be humble enough to work in a shared leadership environment where one trusts God to speak to the leadership as a whole. Gifted Bible teacher with practical application. . Ability to equip and mobilize lay people for ministry. Some administrative skills helpful.

Job Description
Responsibilities:
Teaching Ministry
...The teaching elder pastor will have 65-80% of pulpit teaching responsibility.

...The teaching elder pastor will be the lead trainer of the teaching team.

...The teaching elder pastor along with the other elder pastors will have shared input on the direction of the pulpit ministry as well as other teaching ministries in the church.
Administrative Ministry

...The teaching elder pastor will share in leadership, vision and direction with the other elder pastors.

...The teaching elder pastor will have some administrative duties including sharing in coordinating and oversight of one or more ministry teams. (for example Deacons, Christian Ed Ministries, Missions, Men's ministries, Church planting etc.)

Pastoral Ministries

...The teaching elder pastor will share in normal pastoral duties including weddings, funerals, visitation, and counseling.
Disciple Making Ministry

...The teaching elder pastor will make disciples on a personal level (modeling) and develop a reproducible, multiplying disciple making ministry.

Leadership Development Ministry

...The teaching elder pastor will assist elder pastors in developing a leadership training plan.
Accountability:
As a member of the elder board the teaching elder pastor is accountable to God, the elder pastor board and the congregation.
