Director of Contemporary Worship and Creative Ministries at Ward Evangelical Presbyterian Church

Description:

This position is newly created with the expectation of contributing to create a culture that helps grow Ward down in age, and out in focus. At the core of this young leader will be an authentic and contagious follower of Jesus Christ. Although the responsibilities of this position are many, the Director will be someone who prioritizes the worship of God in Spirit and in Truth. Encouraging contemporary and creative expressions throughout the church while embracing the doctrinal essentials of the Evangelical Presbyterian Church will be more than an opportunity. This will be a calling that God directs.

The Director will be creative, have a passion for excellence, be hard-working and have the ability to encourage the best in others. As with all artists in key leadership positions, this person will need to be able to handle the details of ministry coordination with an ability to prioritize and schedule. Reporting directly to the Senior Pastor emphasizes the responsibility of helping create an overall culture of creativity that thinks outside the box while being sensitive to appropriate timing and context. Managing a great team of faithful volunteers while always looking to call out the gifts of more people will be a key part of this persons leadership.

This position requires an experienced, full-time leader of contemporary worship in a large ministry setting. While communicating a vision for the future, the Director will have the ability and perseverance to work through the process of helping change happen. With great people skills to complement their musical giftedness, the Director of Contemporary Worship and Creative Ministries will influence and lead far beyond a weekly contemporary worship service.
